The Growth Clarity Diagnostic™
10 days · $5,500
One evidence-backed answer on what’s standing between your business and its growth goal—plus a prioritized 90-day plan to address it.
When growth is slower, harder or less predictable than it should be, the visible problem rarely tells the whole story. The Growth Clarity Diagnostic is for founders and business leaders who know something needs to happen, but aren’t yet confident what is actually getting in the way. The Diagnostic replaces competing theories and scattered activity with a structured 10-day process that identifies the primary constraint, shows you the evidence, and gives you a clear plan for what to do first, next and later.
You're probably the right fit if all four are true.
The Growth Clarity Diagnostic is built for an established business with a meaningful growth goal—and enough evidence to determine what is helping or getting in the way.
You can see your business has real traction.
You have revenue, customers and an operating history. There is something worth building on—and enough information to distinguish a structural constraint from a temporary slowdown.
You know where you want the business to go.
You have a meaningful growth goal, but the path from where you are now to where you want to be isn’t clear enough. You need to understand what the goal will actually require from marketing, sales and the broader business.
You have more than one explanation for what’s wrong.
Pipeline, positioning, conversion, capacity, priorities or execution could be the problem. You’ve heard competing theories or tried several things, but you don’t yet have enough evidence to confidently choose where to focus.
You want to know what to do before you invest more.
You don't need a list of marketing ideas. You need an objective diagnosis, a clear order of operations, and a 90-day plan that focuses your limited time, attention, and budget on the work most likely to move the business objectives forward.
The Growth Clarity Process™
Every Diagnostic follows the same four stages. The process is structured enough to produce a clear answer in 10 business days and flexible enough to follow the evidence wherever it leads.
Day 1
Growth Goal Working Session
We begin with a 90-minute working session to align and understand:
-
The growth goal and timeline
-
Current revenue and business model
-
What you’ve already tried
-
Where growth appears to be getting stuck
-
The constraints you’re already working within
-
Your current theories about what needs to change
-
When useful, I’ll also speak with up to two additional people who have meaningful context on the business.
Days 2-4
Evidence Review
I review the information most relevant to your growth goal, which may include:
-
Revenue and customer trends
-
Pipeline sources and conversion
-
Offers, pricing and positioning
-
Marketing and sales activity
-
Referrals, retention and expansion
-
Available time, capacity and budget
-
Existing plans, reports, performance data, and organizational charts
Days 5-7
Constraint Diagnosis
I test the competing explanations against the available evidence to determine:
-
The primary constraint on growth
-
Which visible problems are symptoms
-
Where the evidence is strong or incomplete
-
What is creating friction or diluting results
-
Which activities should continue, change or stop
-
What must be true for the next investment to work
Days 8-10
90-Day Priority Plan
I turn the diagnosis into a practical plan that includes:
-
The primary growth constraint
-
The evidence behind the diagnosis
-
The priorities for the next 90 days
-
What to do now, next and later
-
Measures that will show how the plan is working
-
A 90-minute walkthrough so you understand the recommendation, the reasoning, and how to put the plan into motion.
The Diagnostic gives you the plan. You decide what happens next.
After the final walkthrough, the diagnosis and 90-day plan are yours. You can put the plan into motion yourself, use it to direct existing partners or bring in the right support for the work ahead.
If the Diagnostic surfaces a specific, expensive decision that requires deeper analysis, I may recommend a Growth Decision Sprint™. If the path is clear but you need ongoing senior guidance to maintain focus and make the plan work, we can discuss a strategic advisory relationship.
Any continued work is scoped separately. The Diagnostic stands on its own.
Common Questions
Answers to what founders and business leaders typically ask before we talk.
How is the Growth Clarity Diagnostic different from the Growth Decision Sprint?
The Diagnostic identifies what is standing between the business and its growth goal and establishes the priorities for addressing it. The Sprint begins with a specific, expensive decision already on the table and produces a defensible go/no-go recommendation backed by a deeper operating case. If you don’t yet know which problem deserves your attention, start with the Diagnostic.
Is this a marketing audit?
No. Marketing is part of the review, but growth problems rarely stay neatly inside the marketing function. I look at the relationship between the growth goal, revenue model, market, positioning, acquisition, conversion, retention, capacity and current priorities. The purpose is to identify the business constraint, wherever it lives.
What size businesses do you work with?
The Diagnostic is designed for established businesses with meaningful revenue, real customers and enough operating history to evaluate. My deepest experience is with financial services, fintech, B2B services and SaaS companies, including smaller firms where the founder or principal still owns much of the growth work.
Do I need an internal marketing team?
No. Some clients have a marketing or sales team. Others have an assistant, outside partners, or no dedicated marketing support at all. The plan is built around the people, time, budget and capabilities you actually have.
What will you need from me?
Before we begin, I’ll request the information most relevant to your growth goal. That may include revenue trends, customer or client data, pipeline reports, current marketing materials, performance reports, and previous plans. You don’t need to create new presentations or clean everything up for me.
What if our data is incomplete?
That’s common, particularly in founder-led businesses. I’ll use the strongest available evidence, distinguish confirmed findings from informed judgment, and identify any gaps that need to be addressed. Missing data can itself reveal something important about how the business is making growth decisions.
What does the deliverable look like?
You’ll receive a concise written Growth Clarity Diagnostic that explains the primary constraint, the evidence supporting the diagnosis and the implications for the business. It also includes a prioritized 90-day plan showing what to do now, next and later, along with measures to help you evaluate progress.
Will you implement the plan?
Implementation is not included in the Diagnostic. You can carry out the plan yourself, use it to direct existing partners or hire the appropriate support. When the work requires ongoing senior-level guidance, we can discuss a separately scoped strategic advisory relationship.
Know the business should be growing faster, but not sure what’s getting in the way?
Book a 20-minute call. I’ll ask a few questions about the growth goal, what you’ve already tried and where things appear to be getting stuck. Then I’ll tell you honestly whether the Growth Clarity Diagnostic is the right place to begin.
